Thoughts about the Book
Good volume. The subplot about the gruffs was funny, and the plot as a whole was pretty good. The Island is pretty intense and mysterious, and Nicodemus is just an intriguing antagonist. Sanya is a cool guy, and his commentaries are peak entertainment. Also, the Archive and Kincaid are always compelling when they appear, and the bond between Harry and Ivy is kind of heartwarming.

The battle in the end was great, especially when Harry got to pull off his
“Lasciel doesnt live here anymore” line. Real good stuff. But on the other hand,
I feel like Nicodemus got pushed down somehow in his power level. I thought he
would be somewhat of an end Boss. I mean he did not die, but still. The talk
with Uriel was very entertaining.
